Safeguard Training supplements the NHS Knowledge and Skills Framework with the Skills Matrix, Personal Development Plan and Course Management tools. Safeguard Training has helped many Trusts achieve compliance with the NHS National Standards, in particular CNST Level 3.

The Safeguard Training Skills Matrix identifies the training requirements of your staff based on the type and location of their work. This information is used to forward plan, ensuring that the courses provided meet the needs of the Trust. Staff training needs can be analysed by many different factors including Department and type of work. In addition, Safeguard reports on the percentage of staff with outstanding training requirements and enables the Trust to take appropriate action. The Personal Development Plan is a comprehensive Training record for
each member of staff, showing the training Completed, Planned and Future
needs. It includes mandatory, statutory and vocational training provided
by both the Trust and by external sources. |
Course Booking ensures that double or over-booking is avoided, those with immediate training needs are brought forward, mail merge documents are maintained against each member of staff and DNA's are handled effectively. The new Safeguard Training On-Line provides an on-line booking service for staff at Ward level enabling staff to view and select the courses that best suit their pattern of work. The Training Department and the member of staff's Manager are automatically notified as each booking is completed, and the member of staff will also receive an automatic confirmation that the booking has been accepted. Safeguard Training is fully integrated with the Safeguard Risk, Incident, Complaints, Litigation, PALS and Request for Information Systems. Safeguard Training can integrate with the new national Staff Database. It also links in to the Trust's current HR System. |
